Nigel Willard
Nigel is one of the county’s most respected coaches. He was awarded an AEGON national coaching award in 2010 and was shortlisted for the Bucks and MK coach of the year in 2013.
Nigel brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience with him and his knowledge of the game is second to none. He has coached numerous county players, has developed national and international players and also leads the Bucks boys 12u team.
Nigel Willard has worked for many years with the Turville trust in Oxfordshire to engage and grow young peoples self-esteem through sport. The Turville trust is based in Turville near Henley on Thames and accommodates children from 7-11 years of age who find themselves in the most disadvantaged communities. The children stay residentially through the months of July and August and Nigel teaches them tennis and other sports such as football and baseball. The whole experience brings the children closer to their social workers and eliminates conflict with the promotion of fair play and tolerance. He leads the Nigel Willard Tennis programme, mentoring the coaching team to deliver the best possible standards.
